I maintain a certain boundary between people, because I don’t like to make myself vulnerable. There are parts to me that I won’t surrender easily to just anyone. In doing so, I protect myself. I’m selfish, but it’s only because I know that I’ll only have myself at the end of the day. So for whomever I let close, must be quite special. All I know is that I have to protect and take care of myself, no matter what. My heart and mind still runs perfectly fine.
